Sherry Birt is excited to be teaching Integrated Science for 7th and 8th grade. This Is Sherry’s 2nd year as a teacher at Morgan Middle School. She spent the 7 years previous teaching super skills classes at Morgan Elementary but loves teaching the older kids. Sherry graduated from Western Governors University in 2021 with a Bachelors in K-8 Education.

Sherry was born and raised in Morgan. Before Sherry found her love of teaching she got to have the best job ever as a mom. Sherry married her sweetheart, Adam, who teaches 5th and 6th grade at Morgan Middle School and they have 4 daughters and a son and have recently added a son-in-law to the family.

Sherry loves to go on adventures with her family. Some of her favorite trips with her family have been playing on the Oregon coast, exploring caves in Missouri, hiking Yellowstone, digging crystals out of the mountains in St. George, exploring the Badlands National Park, feeding apples to wild burros in Custer State Park, kayaking on any reservoir, and any other adventure when she comes home with dirty shoes from hiking trails and happy sun kissed faces on her family. Exploring new things and spending family time is her happy place.

Sherry loves to bring the things she learns from her adventures into her classroom and help her students find a love for something new. She loves to see their eyes light up when they want to learn more. She is excited to help her students learn and grow and do things they have never done before in class this year.
