Sheila loves teaching at Morgan Middle School and is starting her third year as the Art Teacher. She graduated from Weber State University with a Bachelors of Fine Art.

In High School, Sheila won the State Art Competition and went on to take Best of Show in Region. She spent most of her early married life as a daycare owner and mom but she always made time for her art. While in school, at Weber State University, she received a grant from the Lindquist Foundation to complete her Thesis project. This project included a full-size bronze sculpture which was Weber State’s first-ever Large Bronze sculpture produced by a student. While in college she had the opportunity to spend a summer in Venice to attend a worldwide art show, Le Biennale, and soaked up all the fabulous art and architecture.

She is passionate about welding, creating 3D sculptors, oil painting and mixed media. But she absolutely enjoys teaching students art and watching them light up when they create something that they are proud of.

Sheila grew up in Layton, Utah. One thing that Sheila loves to tell her students is that she grew up in a family that is all twins. She has a brother and sister who are twins and Sheila is an identical twin. Her identical twin sister also teaches art in a junior high. She and her husband have five children, a son-in-law and the cutest grandson. She and her family now live in South Ogden, Utah.
