Wilde, Dana

6th Grade Science Teacher & Instructional Coach

Dana Wilde is excited to take on the role of Instructional Coach this year as well as teaching 6th Grade Science. Dana has been at Morgan Middle School for 21 years. She previously taught 5 years in the Weber and Davis School Districts for a total of 26 years in education. She attended Utah State University and graduated from Weber State University with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a Masters of Curriculum and Instruction.  

Dana also taught a Community Education Creative Writing Course for adults in Idaho Falls, Idaho. She was the recipient of the Weber State University Crystal Crest Award for Personality of the Year in 1986. She also served on the Education Senate Council for WSU and was the teacher representative for the Weber State Board of Trustees in 2008-2009. Dana was a member of the writing team for the USBE 6th Grade OER Science Resource Book and was selected as a Utah Science Teacher Academy Fellow. She was nominated by a student to receive the Disney’s American Teacher Award. 

Dana enjoys traveling, spending time with family, pickle ball, and playing cards with friends. She and her husband have two sons and a daughter. They’ve also added a daughter-in-law, son-in-law, and a granddaughter to their family. They lived in Nevada and Idaho before settling back home in Morgan, Utah where they both grew up.
